After numerous failed attempts in small business, in 2003 I established an entity that is as much part of the family as it was a constant income source.
That business (ironically called Evolve Network) Evolved over the years as my skills, networks and client needs changed. It was a way to earn money while my children were small and it has provided an immense opportunity for me to grow my skills and live and work on my own terms.
In 2016 I recognised a skill gap that my business could not meet and took a job as the CEO of a company. My business patiently waits in the background for my return. How does that happen you may ask? That’s not very successful is it? There are a whole bunch of stories just in this paragraph, bare with me and I’ll bring them to you. But for now… let’s talk about success.
So what’s the secret sauce to building a successful business? Quite frankly, I don’t think there is one and worse yet success doesn’t often come with a bunch of balloons and a marching band. However, there are six things that will help you to get there…
